Alinea Capital is striving to be a force for good in the impact investment space. Our association with Ironbridge Capital and the Global Impact Initiative, and Amnesty International as our inspiration for human rights and social justice in the world, we draw on the rich and deep backgrounds of our advisory board members and supporters. Our chairman and CFO have worked together for nearly 20 years, mainly in International Development Assistance and Corporate Advisory work before focussing specifically on impact investment. Cross Border Sale and Market Entry

Led the sale of JTA, an Australian based health services International Development Assistance (IDA) firm to Abt Associates, an international health, education and IDA firm based in Boston (US$650m turnover) following a worldwide search. We then assisted Abt Associates in the firm’s UK market entry.

Cross Border Sale and Impact Investment bolt-on

Led the sale of HK Logistics, a large international logistics International Development Assistance provider to The Palladium Group, (AUD$500m revenues) as part of Palladium’s repositioning as an international professional services firm covering strategic consulting, International Development Assistance (IDA), impact investment and logistics.

Regional Consolidation Strategy – Environmental Consulting

Managed for EnviroSolutions and Consulting the acquisition of Indonesia based GreenCap, a subsidiary of Wesfarmers. Assisted in the integration following the acquisition, including providing CFO services.

Cross Border Sale and Market Entry and Expansion

Facilitated the Australian launch of CDM Smith, an American engineering and professional services firm (US$1.2bn revenues), through two acquisitions following assessment of more than 20 potential acquisition targets.

Acquired E3 in Brisbane and Sydney and NTEC Environmental Technology in Perth setting CDM Smith up as an international engineering and environmental consulting firm in Australia, and leading the Asia Pacific region expansion for the head office in Boston.

UK Sale to Australian Public Company – International Development Assistance

Advised on the sale of Libra Group, an international consultancy based in the UK providing policy, advisory, and management services in the security and justice sector to Coffey International Development (AU$800m revenue at the time).

Management Consulting Roll Up

Raised capital from a UK private equity firm and Australian investors to back an international management consulting firm roll up with offices in London, New York, Sydney and Melbourne. Completed 3 acquisitions over 3 years and prepared and advised the company in their sale to FTI Consulting, Inc. a US based listed global business advisory firm.

Acquisition of an International Development Assistance Firm

Originated and advised on the acquisition of Global Justice Solutions (GJS) by WDScott Ltd. GJS was a global consulting and project management business specialising in development assistance to governments, major development agencies and other national-level clients in the areas of law, justice, policing and governance.

Sale of an International Development Assistance firm

Originating and advising on the sale of Global Justice Solutions (GJS) to Coffey International. GJS was a global consulting and project management business specialising in development assistance to governments, major development agencies and other national-level clients in the areas of law, justice, policing and governance.

Advisory and Strategy

Research and acquisition strategy for Cardno Ltd, a listed professional services, engineering and IDA company over 4 years. Reviewed over 50 acquisition targets and was involved in ten acquisitions in Australia, UK and the USA.

Capital Raising – Implicit Bioscience

Raised capital for an impact investment bio-science project which aimed to reverse limited growth and intellectual development in more than 160 million children worldwide that suffer from malnourishment.

Wit Siemieniuk

Senior Environmental and Social Impact Specialist

Wit Siemieniuk works with Alinea Capital as a Senior Environmental and Social Impact Specialist. He holds a Master’s in Natural Resource Management and has over 30 years of experience as a bio urban specialist on projects across Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas. Wit’s work has been focused on poverty alleviation, stakeholder engagement, climate resiliency, environmental sustainability, public education, public health and good governance to enhance competitiveness and municipal project bankability.
He has worked as a consultant to the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, United Nations Development Program, Japanese Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund and Global Affairs Canada.

Wout van Doorn

Head of European Affairs

Wout van Doorn joined Alinea Capital in 2021 and is Head of European Affairs. Wout oversees transactions, asset development and client relationships in the European region. He has worked across the infrastructure sector for over 15 years and has held positions as sponsor, developer and financial consultant.
Wout has held several financial management and corporate advisory roles with organisations including EY Transaction Advisory Services, BAM international and Dutch Contractor Strukton. He is a specialist in complex project finance solutions in the infrastructure and renewable energy realm and has experience on projects across Europe, Africa and South East Asia.
Wout holds a MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management Science and a post-master Professional Doctorate in Engineering degree from the University of Eindhoven.

Operations Manager

Kate Glennon is Alinea Capital’s Operations Manager and is the lead on back office operations and client communication services. Kate is an expert in providing the highest level of customer service and delivering operational excellence. She has over 10 years of experience in office management and executive assistant roles where she has been responsible for operations, administration and financial support functions.
